I am Vikash, an engineer who loves to build things. Originally from Nepal, living in New York and challenging myself one day at a time.
My interest is first and foremost making lives better using any technology. I am also currently working as Software Engineer (Full Stack Develeoper).
During this pandemic I created an online game where you can kill viruses and get a high score. You can also compete with your friends to get on the leaderboard like a classic arcade game.
I built a todo app where you can login to store your todos list and tasks under the lists. I built the front end with login feature in react and deployed it to AWS Amplify for CI/CD. The backend was built using python and deployed as a AWS lambda function with API Gateway. The app is a serverless microservices architecture.

Built and hosted REST API and a React app which ingests data from api. You can search values in columns and it was built from scratch without using any search functionality from component librarlies.
As a coding challenge, I built an Angular 2 app which is getting the data from a dummy file and representing it using D3 JS
As a hackathon project, I created an Alexa Skill called Supernova and hosted it on AWS Lambda to give out company's information and notify employee about the meeting scheduled for the day and also if the visitor has arrived in the office area.
Getting user information and sending SMS to the meeting host about the arrival of the user.
Giving out the employee information to the user.
During my internship at Intersection, Katie and I created an SMS based self-Learning Chatbot service with NLP to answer questions about the space for Hudson Yards. It also give services like wayfinding to nearby restaurants and public restrooms using Python NLTK and Google Cloud NL API.
Analyze the behavior of the passenger of NYC Yellow cabs and the factors deciding their tip to the driver for the year 2014 and visualize the data and the pattern. Also, how the tip has been changed by the introduction of Uber and City Bikes.
I have architected and developed a client facing dashboard which is FUSE risk management platform. It provides insights, actionable items for their athletes and helps organizations to monitor assess and intervene for Industrial Athletes safety. It also contains new features to showcase for investors.
Services for Industrial Athletes to engage on the FUSE smart dock (Android Tablet) and give information about how to be safe in their working environement. Also, provide safety information for industrial athletes and provide insights on how to increase.
For clients to get familiarized with FUSE platform, I wrote a react based application which provides real-time safety score of Industrial Athletes. It gets last safety score after a game of tic-tac-toe where Athletes have to lift boxes labeled with crosses and zeroes and place it in 3X3 shelf. Immediately after completing a game, the players would see the safety score and the leaderboard.
